something I believe in
I have the strong belief that gun control laws should be set in place......to a limit. most people who are against gun control laws say that those in favor of it want to take every single gun out of the contry. Well that's just not true. people in favor of gun control laws simply want to limit civilian access to assault weapons that are designed for killing humans. weapons designed for animal hunting and self defense are fine for civilian use. but the weapons made for war and killing people should not be distributed to civilians, because some people out there will get them and use them for mass murders like the one we've recently had in Connecticut. and this is what I believe in.

I agree with you. Maybe the people meant to protect us could have those assault weapons, but no one else. Our Constitution was written a long time ago before we had such weapons and when incidents like the one in Newtown didn't happen. I think it would be ok to alter the types of firearms that are protected under the 2nd Amendment.
